Sharon began her career in pharmacy in Oregon in 1985. While attending U of O after high school and then Portland State University from ’85-’87, she worked as a hospital technician in Tualatin, OR where her education in pharmacy began.

She moved to Los Angeles in 1987 and began working at Central Pharmacy as a retail technician during the day and also worked part-time as a hospital technician at Santa Monica Hospital on weekends and evenings (times were tough back then!!). Her knowledge of the pharmacy business and insurance billing expanded quickly.

Sharon became an owner after 5 years in 1992 and has transformed Central from a very small “prescription only” store into a diverse modern pharmacy. Having been interested in health and nutrition for many years, she hand-picks the high-quality supplements and herbs which are sold here. She is ready and willing to share her knowledge with customers having questions.

In June 2005 she traveled to Houston to complete a course at P.C.C.A. in compounding techniques and she has attended multiple seminars on Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). She is constantly reading the most current articles and case studies in this very specialized field.

Because Sharon has worked at Central Pharmacy for so many years, she is recognized by many residents in the area and knows most customers by name. “Working here is like having one big extended family! We really care about each and every one of our customers in a very special way.”
